Publication date: Flame Off 2016
Entries to: email@example.com by midnight on Wednesday 30th September 2015.
The GBUK Journal is a great opportunity to showcase your work in a high quality publication. Best of all it is free to submit an entry and all members who are paid up as of 30 September 2015 will receive a free copy.
If you would like to have your work included in the next GBUK Journal, then please read this carefully. We would like you to send one image only to firstname.lastname@example.org, but as before, all other required information will need to be submitted using the online submission form below.
If you do not fill in the online form, your entry will not appear in the journal. If you cannot fill in the form, email email@example.com.
Another great fair opportunity for members. GBUK is holding a lampwork fair with free members’ tables as well as suppliers for lampworkers. The fair will be held on Saturday, September 19th, at Long Sutton Barns, PE12 9AF Please see the flyer for details. GBUK Fair Flyer
Members have the opportunity to sell their beads on the GBUK table at Flame Off.
We will have limited amount of space available on the stand for this. They will be taken on a first come, first served basis but anyone volunteering can have their own space (free of charge) to sell beads for the duration of their time on the stand. We will charge £2.50 per ‘slot’, a slot being a square compartment measuring 3 inches square and 1¼ deep. Members may ‘buy’ up to three of these for the duration of the two days. If you would like to take advantage of this, please bring your beads on the day.
This a great way to test your toes in the arena of selling your beads for those of you who have never tried before or those that do sell and would like to have some for sale at Flame Off without the expense of a stand.
We have four places available, one on each of these classes
Glenn Godden (borosilicate marbles)
Kathryn Greer (encased florals)
Joy Munshower (sealife)
Ann & Josh (glassblowing)
But we aren’t just giving them away… you have to do a little something in return!
The themes for 2015 are “Animal Prints” and “Art Nouveau” – thinking caps on now, you have till the end of next Feb!
