IFG

GBUK have a stand at the forthcoming International Festival of Glass at Stourbridge on 25th/26h August – this is the middle two days of the four day festival.

As always we need volunteers to run the stand for the Saturday and Sunday and we will be grateful if anyone going could spare an hour to help out.

At the IFG we will be running a member competition for ‘The Longest Bead’ for those attending ONLY. Make the longest bead you can from soft glass (no boro!), bring it to the stand to have it measured and photographed. The winner will receive a £10 voucher for a supplier of their choice.

We will also be making a limited amount of space available on the stand for members’ beads for sale. These will be taken on a first come, first served basis but anyone voluteering can have their own space (free of charge) to sell beads for the duration of their time on the stand. We will charge £2.50 per ‘slot’, a slot being a square compartment measuring 3 inches square and 1¼ deep. Members may ‘buy’ up to three of these for the duration of the two days.

Please contact Scarlet at chairman@gbuk.org to reserve your slots and to volunteer your services.
