Shelia Knapp

Shelia Knapp Aurea organicsMy name is Shelia Knapp - I have been lampworking for about 2 years now. Self taught with the aid of books, youtube and the kind help of other lampworkers on the Frit Happens Forum.
My main influences are basically, rocks, flowers and the sea. I enjoy pushing the glass to see how far it can go before it turns to a mucky mess. Watching the different glasses interact is a joy, as is opening the kiln after a firing to see what has occured. I struggle to make sets as I get bored easily so most of my beads are focals.

I try to stretch myself by using all sorts of techniques but find the ‘organic’ style of bead the most exciting to make. Having said that I also enjoy the discipline of doing florals and encased beads.
I have sold my beads all over the world and have undertaken various commissions, so please visit my site www.crocosmiajewellery.com to view my other wares.
