Ema Kelly

Ema Kelly Shocked Bot ArtisanMy true passion has always been glass making. A material unlike any other, this solid liquid had my attention from the first time I tried my hand at glass blowing. After specialising in hot glass techniques during my Degree at DeMontfort University, Leicester, I then progressed to studying at the International Glass Centre, Brierley Hill.

I am currently specialising in lampworking techniques, and teaming this with fine silver work to create a variety of unique jewellery, and sculptural pieces, trading under the name Duck in a Bucket Designs.

My work is predominantly bright, and quirky, but I also enjoy making my more elegant ranges. All have innovated design and quality craftsmanship. Inspiration for my pieces is drawn from my mood and surroundings. I love to create pieces that make people smile and that can brighten up a day!

I have displayed my work at numerous exhibitions, both nationally and internationally. I also teach workshops in lampworking techniques at my studio in Leicester.
