Elaine Thornton

Elaine Thornton Etsy BeadsI have been making jewellery for many years and after visiting a bead fair in October 2007 when I watched a Lampworking demo, I thought I must try this, I just love glass and to make my own beads for my jewellery would be fantastic!
So with Christmas just around the corner which is swiftly followed by my birthday, there was only one thing on my list for that year – a Lampworking Kit! As the saying goes, the rest is history!

Elaine Thornton More January beadsTwo years on, I am now selling my beads from my own website along with my contemporary jewellery. My beads are making an appearance in my own jewellery, steadily.
My first bead range – ‘Camouflage Mayhem’ seems to be proving popular, irregular dot decoration and bead shapes, in many different colourways based on ‘camouflage’. My first set ‘GI Jane’ was made using a new colour from CIM (Creation is Messy) in 2009 called ‘Commando’ hence the series was born! I am still developing this range using nature, which is a huge resource to tap into, along with military colours.

Elaine Thornton PinkJosieI just love to use colour in my work and my beads are no exception, I am introducing new designs into my beads all the time, hearts being a particular favourite, so please come and visit me at www.chatelainejewellery.com to see what I currently have on offer.
